Treading Down Nostalgic Paths

beu
The nostalgia of places I’ve been overtakes me
Jolting memories of worlds I’ve left
I’ll never be able to let them go
Among the sands and mountains
I’ve forgotten pieces of myself there

Will I ever be able to trace them back?
Was I meant to be longing like this?

I hope one day before I go
I’ll have a long flashback of the
Enticing lands I’ve ventured to
And the smiles I’ve exchanged
The fleeting faces of strangers
With different tongues that I’ll never come across again
And the distinct feeling of finally being whole
